It’s no surprise then that the Pantone Color Institute has declared the radiant Viva Magenta their Color of the Year 2023. Viva Magenta comes from the family of reds, inspired by the colour of cochineal and is a signal of strength. This powerful hue features a primordial quality that is powerful and life-affirming with an almost rebellious spirit. Red in colour psychology boosts the appetite and is the colour of love and passion. It definitely commands attention when used in interiors, and can be used to kick up the energy in any space. The Bordeaux colour of the Melange tile collections isn’t a flat hue. Each 10cm by 10cm tile sports a unique handmade texture and colour tone that when placed together, gives this bathroom wall rich dimensionality and character. The inspiration for the Melange collection comes from North African ceramics, and their rustic quality plays against contemporary bathroom fixtures and designs for an interesting juxtaposition of tradition and modernity.
