Inspire play and imagination for your child with these fun colourful tiles!
Tiles

The glossy Abacus tiles on the walls bring attractive colours into this children’s playroom.

Designing a playroom for your kiddo? As the name suggests, playrooms are for play, and using tiles to add colour and texture to this space can help create fun, as well as safe and hygienic interiors for kids to romp around in. Tiles come in a large variety of colours, shapes and textures, but decorative potential aside, you can also select tiles with functional qualities that are important for spaces used by children. This includes anti-bacterial qualities which prohibit the growth of micro-organisms on the tile surface, and thus also prevent odours. Tiles are also easier to clean than other wall materials such as paint and wallcoverings, and stain- and scratch-resistant too! Check out our curated selection below. You can also consider these attractive tiles for your children bathrooms, but we don’t recommend using high-energy colours in their bedrooms which are meant for rest and a good night’s sleep.

Abacus

The nine colours of the Abacus collection, including unique saturated hues such as emerald green, mustard, lavender and rose, and their brick-shaped size of 7.5cm by 20cm make them

great for creating personalised patterns on walls and floors. You can even use them to spell out words! Contrast colours and also textures as the tiles come in both matte and glossy finishes. A third Plisse finish of undulating lines adds to the fun of experimentation.

Medley

If you love terrazzo for its old school vibe, you’ll go gaga for the Medley collection with its quirky oversized terrazzo patterns and trendy colour mixes. The randomised confetti-like patterns of Classic, Pop and Rock are unique and will give your playroom or bathroom surfaces that are never boring. The six concrete-inspired dusky colours of the colour palette are also super stylish in any adult’s book.

Mutina Punto

We can just imagine little hands touching the large raised and sunken dots of the Mutina Punto collection in curiosity to explore their three-dimensional textures. Designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Punto follows from the concept behind their Pico collection. This time though, the dots are repeated on 4cm by 31.5cm strips, five to a mesh. The five colours offered include rich hues such as emerald green, and pastel rose in matte and glossy finishes.

Mutina Tex

The Mutina Tex collection features a rich tapestry of textures and colours to intrigue the senses of children. Designed by Raw Edges, the various tile textures were inspired by textiles, with subtle tonal variations for each hue. The unconventional diamond-shaped tiles can be used to conjure up a multitude of patterns on flooring and walls for dynamic designs with movement.
