Marble-inspired tiles have democratised luxurious marble for homeowners. Marble is known for being expensive, and challenging to install and maintain, so now with marble-inspired tiles approximating very closely the look and even texture of the natural material, even exotic marble variants have become very accessible. Also available are designs that amalgamate popular marble veinings and hues, to provide patterns that do not exist in nature. These local homes below have all used marble-inspired tiles from RICE to create interiors brimming with modern sophistication. See these tiles at riceLAB and get the look for your home!

The beautiful veining of the dark marble-inspired Tele di Marmo Breccia Braque tile is showcased extensively on the surfaces of this bathroom designed by Stacey Leong Interiors. They clad the walls of both the wet and dry areas for a look of elegant continuity. The flooring of concrete-inspired TR3ND tiles in Smoke provides contrast, as with the brass-coloured shower fittings to suit the luxury of this intimate space.

The white Bianco Statuario Vanity marble-inspired tiles on the walls and floor of the living area in the Almost Detached home by Treehaus Architect help in creating a bright and airy space. The tiles also come in a chain pattern which, when laid side-by-side on the walls, form a continuous pattern to mimic the look of a large marble slab.

A challenging layout and a lack of daylight called for this apartment designed by Metre Architects to be dressed in light tones, such as its flooring of white To Be Statuario Satin tiles. The tiles’ large size of 100cm by 100cm further enhances the spaciousness of its interiors.

This stunning apartment presents a upscale modern resort vibe with its pitched roof, white cross beams and combination of bleached wood tones and marble-inspired tile flooring. Leafy botanicals dot the bright and airy space. Designer Akihaus Design Studio flowed the marble-inspired Marvel Calacatta Extra Matt tiles throughout the living, dining, kitchen and corridor space to knit the spaces together. In the master bathroom, the Marvel Calacatta Extra Matt tile was paired with the timber-inspired Kauri Grigio tile on the walls to give it the space more dimension and a warmer tone.
