Subway tiles with a difference, these are the ones you need to know about!
Tiles

Mutina Ceramica by Silvia Giacobazzi

Subway tiles, also known as brick tiles, have been around for a while, and we love their quaint old school vibe, but did you know there are variants which can create pretty impressive design outcomes too? Explore slender versions, exciting textures, and even a new collection which gives subway tiles volumetric form. Subway tiles with slimmer dimensions are more versatile, and amp up the texture in your space. In particular, those with handcrafted looks and unique colour tones will pack a wallop of dimension into even the smallest cubicle. Explore your exciting options here!

Mutina DIN

Create a universe of neat orderly grids with Mutina DIN designed by Konstantin Grcic. This cohesive collection of tiles is designed with precise measurements to ensure all four tile sizes fit into the same grid. The subway tiles measure 7.4cm by 15cm, and 3.6cm by 7.4cm, with the standout feature being the six special shapes which bring the tiles into the third dimension. Instead of stopping at the edge, the special shapes ‘flow’ the tiles into the next plane, such as from wall to floor or around an edge. This fluidity poses exciting possibilities for, and creates extra finesse, in the use of humble subway tiles. Mutina DIN is available in eight colours and finishes of matte and glossy.

Ragno Gleeze

The Ragno Gleeze collection is made with the same artisanal care as traditional Majolica ware, and expresses the beauty of handmade items with the tiles’ tonal irregularities and relief imperfections. Their glossy surfaces come alive with a shell-like shimmer when the light hits, providing character and vitality to spaces. The two slender brick tiles in particular, which measure 5cm by 15cm, and 7cm by 20cm, impart added texture to spaces. The collection is available in five colours.

Mutina Ceramica

A slender refined shape and fresh contemporary colours are what gives the Mutina Ceramica collection its graceful, elegant demeanour. Each 5.3cm by 19.8cm tile is unique, thanks to the production method of wire drawing. The glaze brings a lively texture to the muted colour palette of white, ivory, three grey tones and three earthy tones.

CE.SI. I Colori

Colour lovers will go wild for the CE.SI. I Colori collection! With a large range of tile sizes including four sizes for subway tiles, from 3cm by 10cm mosaics to the largest at 6cm by 25cm, the tiles come in both matte and glossy finishes. Of special mention is the 5cm by 20cm tile size, which comes in an amazing 40 colours to choose from. Play with colour pairings, and also laying patterns to jazz up your surfaces. Be limited only by your imagination.
